Changsheng Yan, R. TCMP, R. Ac

Mr Changsheng Yan, R. TCMP, R.Ac is a highly experienced Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner. Growing up in a family with three generations of TCM practitioners in China, Mr Yan has built a solid foundation for TCM. For the last two decades, Mr Yan has studied under many famous and folk TCM masters while practicing TCM in a private clinic and gained extensive clinical experiences.

To follow his grandfather’s wish ” TCM will be  beneficial to the entire world if it is integrated with modern western medicine practice.”, Mr Yan joined the University of Toronto medical radiotherapy program to study cancer treatment from a western medicine point view. After graduated Mr Yan became a therapist on cancer treatment at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto and worked there for over 15 years.

Currently Mr Yan is playing key clinical roles in both western medicine cancer treatment at Sunnybrook Hospital and TCM at Naturopathic Foundations Health Clinic. Mr Yan often uses MRI images, CT scan images, and Bloodwork readings as additional evidences to facilitate his TCM diagnosis, which is far beyond traditional TCM way of diagnosis WANG, WEN, WEN, QIE.

Mr Yan’s TCM clinical interests include gastrointestinal conditions, cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, gynecology, insomnia, muscle joint pain, gynecology, cancer, and more.

Mr Yan also has unique experiences in Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Yi Jin, Ba Bua, Buddhism and Taoism practices. He has followed multiple masters in these fields. He believes that the universe (nature) holds the ultimate power of healing. The ultimate goal for TCM care is to reunite with the universe (nature).


Mr Yan has been actively involved in teaching TCM courses, Ancient Chinese JING DIAN, Yi Jin , Ba Gua, Tai Chi in North America Traditional Chinese Medicine College. His proficiency in both Chinese and English allows him to peel away the metaphor and vague meanings around key TCM concepts when teaching western students.

Mr Yan is one of co-authors for two TCM books “Ba Zi Therapy” and “Internal Observation In Energy Mapping of Traditional Chinese Herbs.”
