Water  accounts for over 70% of your body mass. All cellular communication uses water and is the primary vehicle for the transmission of chemicals, hormones and nutrients throughout the body. Sufficient water is also necessary for the excretion of toxins, acids and waste products.

Breathing is the first and last sign of life. The way you breathe impacts physiological functions and is tied to your emotional state. Learning how to breathe effectively is the simplest way to achieving a greater state of health. Learn different breathing exercises.

Alkaline diet. The body needs nutrients to live, grow, repair and reproduce. An alkaline diet is high in minerals and overall nutrients. It is achieved by eating a diet high in vegetables, fruit and whole grains. Choosing alkaline food and eating according to a regular routine are primary steps in the maintaining proper acid-alkaline balance within the body. Check out our handout on Acid-Alkaline foods.

Movement. The body must move to survive. Outer flexibility is often a mirror of inner flexibility. Learning to move all parts of the body effortlessly improves health and quality of one’s life.

Alignment (posture). Posture reveals a person’s sense of inner and outer support. Your posture reflects your flexibility and your openness to others and your environment. The way you move and stands indicates inner characteristics and affects the functioning of all organs and systems.

Sleep is required for the body to rest, heal and repair. It is a time when your energy moves from the external to the internal and when your soul and spirit are nourished. There are many factors that can disrupt sleep and contribute to insomnia. It is important to identify and address those factors in order to achieve health.

Positive Mind. How a person thinks affects their health. The mind is able to override physiological functions, cause disease or stimulate healing. Learning to train your mind to be supportive of health makes everything else easier and more enjoyable.

Joie de Vivre is about loving your life, having something in your life about which you are passionate and that gives you a sense of meaning or purpose.

Alkaline lifestyle and personal care products. What you are exposed to, what you put on your skin and the products that you choose to use in your home and work environments have a tremendous impact on your health.

Healthy environment. Without adequate, clean air, water and soil life does not exist. Spending time in nature is also key to health and healing. It is important to be aware of your environment and to assess the degree it is aiding or impeding health.

Hygiene is the practice of keeping the body clean to prevent infection and illness, and the avoidance of contact with infectious agents. Hygiene practices include bathing, brushing and flossing teeth, washing hands especially before eating, washing food before it is eaten, cleaning food preparation utensils and surfaces before and after preparing meals, wearing appropriate clothing and many others.

Ability to Eliminate Toxins. One of the essential aspects of maintaining health is the ability to eliminate toxins either that are ingested or that are produced as a by-product of digestion and metabolism. There are six main routes of elimination urine, bowels, breath, sweat, voice and menses or ejaculation.  Secondary routes of elimination include the nose, eyes, tongue, teeth and vomit.
